Hi ladies! I had a call to find out my raise + bonus for this upcoming year and it went well except for the constructive feedback from an old project. I have improved so much since then but my RL brought up old feedback and was very political about it. It opened up old wounds since I made sure on the next project to address those exact points which I did. It made me feel like I made 0 progress since then. Any advice on how to not feel so defeated / sad? Trying to focus on the positive.

So I joined a design studio as a junior UI Designer. I have came in on a project that has been in concept for a month. During My first 2 days, I worked on some final ideas for the client presentation. My manager liked them alot, but then he took some ideas from them and changed them completely...am I doing well? Or is he too nice to say he doesn't like my work?

Joined USI as an Analyst and I feel really depressed. My seniors are hell bent upon making it all the more difficult. I used to love my job once upon a time but nowadays I just dread the Monday morning and even more so the stand-up calls. On the top of all this my seniors/leads do not stop criticising my work and make me feel like a loser which has impacted my confidence. I sometimes break down alone in my room while working and feel very frustrated. Is this normal or am I just in a bad project?

Just got called a “pest” and was told to “lighten up” after asking a client (for the 100th time) for something that I need TONIGHT. How do you handle difficult clients like these?

Hi all, looking for advice. I'm a technical writer with background in the hardware and healthcare industry. What would be a better option for me, pivoting into software tech writing or project management. Which one pays better/is better (any advice appreciated, must be fully remote role) If software tech writing, does anyone have advice on how to break into a role or learn what it takes to become one? For PM, I got a cert (not PMP) and am trying to decide which of these two I go with.

I don't understand why people in TCS are so scared of their managers. Just for sake of ratings and pay band people have made this organisation morally corrupt. I have been working since 2 years in TCS took transfer within 1 month of joining. Switched 3 project in 2 years worked on my conditions 9 hours means 9 hours don't give a damn whether people will like it or not. And I can proudly say that because of this reason I got targetted many times but my Personal & Professional Life is balanced.

I recently left a marketing agency and went to work with a startup as hire #2, in charge of building the entire digital marketing strategy and client management side. But now I have to think in terms of scale and process, not just marketing, which is a new paradigm for me. What are you best learning resources (book, webinars, podcasts, etc.) to start thinking in terms of scale and process?

I graduated during the pandemic and took the first consulting offer I received out of fear that no other companies would hire me. The job is fine, it’s just largely project management work and doesn’t challenge me at all. I’d be 100% willing to leave, or just hop firms, but without a top school or company on my resume, I don’t even know what/if that’s possible. Anyone have advice on leaving a low tier firm? -<1 YOE at a no name tech consulting firm -mid tier (20-25) b-school undergrad

How did you know when to stop and when it was worth it to keep going? Every time I make a career move, I think I'll be happier....and then I'm already planning my next move, the next mountain to climb. Will I just not be happy until I reach the top?
