Strongly prefer working in-person (I’m a people person) but potentially have a great too-good-to-turn-down opportunity that would be fully remote. Advice on how to make WFH better?
Wrapping up mat leave soon & it’s back to work (from home) in a few weeks, & I’m going bonkers about how to manage two little ones in a small apartment while my husband is also WFH. How are people doing this? Any tips/childcare recos?
Tore my calf muscle this weekend. My first reaction (other than "fuck this hurts") was "WFH this week!" Think it's time for a new job, maybe?
I am getting a WFH allowance, and my desk setup would work much better with a separate keyboard from my laptop. What are your keyboard suggestions?
How are you liking WFH? Personally I'm so happy that I don't have to travel and slug it out
“As a general rule of human civilization, we’ve lived where we work. More than 90 percent of Americans drive to work, and their average commute is about 27 minutes. This tether between home and office is the basis of urban economics. But remote work weakens it; in many cases, it severs the link entirely, replacing spatial proximity with cloud-based connectivity. What knock-on changes will this new industrial revolution bring?” Thoughts? https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/02/remote-work-revolution/617842/
Know someone else posted this too, but if your gyms are closed (likely) and since we are all wfh give this workout a shot. 40 mins and really good workout. Done it two days now and feels good.
Considering buying one of those «sit/stand desk converters». Any recommendations? https://www.vivo-us.com/collections/manual-desk-risers/products/desk-v000k Is it too late, or do we think WFH will last for a long while still, or will WFH 2-3 days a week become expected.
How is work from home policy in EY India before pandemic ? And what is the current policy for in EY India regards to remote work?
I started with my bar prep company in March and have been working remotely since. I don’t feel like I was ever properly trained (can’t tell if that’s because of poor management or WFH or both) but I have a hard time with the contract management system and have made several mistakes. Of course, I wasn’t trained in the CMS and am only taught how to do something correctly after I’ve don’t it incorrectly. Any advice on keeping things in perspective? I feel like I’m underperforming but only with tech
Anyone looking for Sr Copywriters? Open to moving but remote would be nice too. Open to anything really. Get me out.

What's one thing you wish your current company would do that would make your job easier (i.e., work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)?
Husband and I are moving to Seattle in a couple of months. His office is in downtown Seattle and mine is in Sodo. He wants to be able to walk or bike to work. I will be mostly WFH but want to be relatively close to office. We also have a pup. Any recommendations for neighborhoods or apartment buildings much appreciated! We would prefer to be close to parks and grocery stores vs. bars.
Really afraid that MBAs will go back to remote and that I will waste the opportunity to get the time of my life
Looking for input on a career decision. Me: 9 YOE, homegrown manager who is currently doing a stop in industry. I have an offer to return to consulting (M&A). My end game is pure strategy. Do I take the offer or wait for the opportunity to interview for pure strategy? My take is it’s more difficult to lateral the more senior you are in your career.
For those who exit to FAANG’s data/analytics. Did you use any online resume services/reviewers? Please help by giving any details/tips

PwC fish (or others with same setup) - Is there anything stopping me from only contributing to 401k with post-tax dollars and then mega backdooring all of it to Roth? If not, are there any cons to doing so?
Joining McK in a few weeks. Got the invite to sign up for the green AMEX Corp card with the option to upgrade to Gold or Platinum. Is the Platinum Corp card worth the upgrade ($550/year)? The only real benefit I see is the lounge access. Thoughts? McKinsey & Company
Coming back to D in October after LOA. During that LOA, I was approached by other firms, and received 3 offers. I do want to stay at D but if they cant match the offers I received, I will leave (offers include 30% increase and a promotion). How should I go about this? Do I contact my coach and let him know that I would like to stay but received different offers and I want to know if Deloitte can match them?
HILTON just sent out an email saying they’d adjust the points required for elite status qualifications once the situation is assessed by the team. And reservations can be changed without any fees CONT
I'm trying to buy a new carry-on size suitcase but am having trouble finding one that fits my requirements. Does anybody know a four wheel spinner bag that's: 1: decent quality build, particularly wheels and handle 2: has a lid that opens and one large compartment (soft or hardside but I don't like the two half clamshell hardsides) 3: looks decent (doesn't have to be fancy/designer, just something I'm not embarrassed to take to a client office) 4: under ~$300
Our office is moving to another building and is going to have a new “no assigned desk” policy. We just sit wherever we feel like sitting, like a 7th-grade cafeteria. Seems like their intention is good but also sounds like a terrible idea. Has anyone else’s office done this? Not even sure how I’ll be able to request a second monitor now
Dm for a referral to EY! It’s a great time to jump firms and take advantage of the hot job market right now
Any fish familiar with the PWC payor/provider group? Specifically typical type of projects, team culture and size, and if I should apply or run for the hills? Career long Healthcare consultant here who's dabbled in Healthcare IT, provider operations, and provider strategy.
Leaving Chicago at the end of this month. The job market here has been tough. Feel like every job that I apply to gets canceled or put on hold which I understand. Not going to fly back. Going to be taking the long drive back home. I am trying to do what I can to find a job here in Chicago. Anyone know of any job leads or know of companies that are hiring here in Chicago? I love this city. Would like to stay here in Chicago.
