Hi, I have been approached by GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) for network expertise paid consultation. Wanted to check with this group if anyone has any experience of how is it like working as network expert? Also how does it work wrt to your employer, do you need to discuss this with employer to get any clearance to engage with them? Also how does it work from tax perspective, do you have to set-up separate company and hence tax code? Would appreciate inputs.

I would highly recommended using this link: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp and finding the GP using postcode. There are plenty of GP’s around central london but register with one which has good reviews. GP is your primary doctor and inroads into all hospital/further treatments in the UK so it’s fundamental to pick a good practise and hence why checking reviews is important - Can’t emphasise on the last point enough!
You have to be living in the GPS catchment to qualify and be able to register. Few GPs will let you register if outside catchment. Use the search SC1 provided. Pick one you’re on catchment for. I’d read how easy it is to get an on the day or telephone appt on their website. Surprisingly some GPs still don’t do this and it can mean you wait 2+ weeks for an appt. All of the GPs have the same form you have to fill out. Takes 10-15 mins. Usually you can email it in and no need to physically print.
Not necessarily the case. Different surgeries have different rules.
