Looking for opinions. I’m an IW with 2 yrs experience working from home at a Fortune 500 company w/ excellent benefits, target salary 75k. I was previously offered a job at another company where the 75k salary was guaranteed for the first year. Most people make much more than this once their comp fully ramps up, but, I would have to work in the office. I declined the offer, but now the CEO wants to meet with me several months later. Would I be crazy if I asked for 100k guaranteed salary?

No. Provide an amount where you would be not just OK joining, but EXCITED to join.

I know several people who throw out a salary that’s good, but it’s not enough to make them WANT to leave their current company. Hard to say $85k, then say $100k. Aim higher and make them laugh at your request.

Yeah they may say that until you have an outside offer. I work at a large bank that would scoff if someone simply asked for 20% raise to get to “market rate,” but when I showed 2 outside offers they matched and it was ~50% raise. For the same position, I might add.

I don't think so. You can always ask for a salary you think you deserve. I think the CEO will also consider the fact that you will be working in the office.

What's a good Software Engineering salary in Stockholm, Sweden?
I am currently making a bit more than 40k/year, and I have gotten extremely mixed information about whether it's a good salary or not

More info:
-I am under 20 years old and self taught, but I work on-par with the rest of the team (all of them except me have degrees ranging from master's to PhD), I don't know how much the other team components make
-I work with embedded software development with mostly C and C++

For those of you in healthcare related account management, what is your healthcare background? I am clinical and getting ready to hire a higher level account manager. I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. I don’t want to miss the right person because of my bias, so im wondering how many healthcare related AMs have healthcare/clinical experience… thanks in advance!

I’m being offered a role as systems engineer (feels more like a sales engineer) in the energy industry.
Frequent travels required through Europe 6 months out of the year. Responsible for tech consultation with customers on pre-sales, system integration post-sale + training customers on product /fixing problems on their site.

The interviewer said to me to add 30% on my current salary and ask for that. Now I’m asking for £97k. Reasonable?

How do I argument £97k when they try to negotiate?

I am also taking classes in python. Something in the greater PDX area would be strongly preferable since I don't have a car (I do have a driver's license, just to clarify) unless the work is within a reasonable commute. I also have a lot healthcare experience. Ping me!

I almost got out of Pharma... A CD from a Consumer agency doing solid work reached out, and I was so excited thinking I could finally do the kind of work I love. Then they told me they will fill the position with a current employee. I played it cool, but I can’t deny I felt frustrated. I don’t wanna do healthcare, but it seems like it’s the only thing available in NYC nowadays. I also don’t have many connections in this city. So, IF you need an ACD/Art (full-time or FL-to-perm), let’s chat! 🙌🏻

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
