Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

You have a lot of over lap. Do you feel comfortable reallocating when the funds get of balance? If not just put everything in the target date fund. That is the ultimate diversified set and forget portfolio. If you want to be a bit more hands on with rebalancing, don’t want any bonds and want to cut fees a little. I would just use the total market and the international fund in the proportion you want.
That is Year to date return, as in Jan to now. In my opinion that really means nothing since it is such a short period. Can you find the annual return for 1, 3, 5 years? I would bet it is averaging around 10 percent return per year.
Reallocate everything between total stock market, total international, and throw in bonds for 10% or add them as you near 40. As you get older reallocate stocks to bonds till you are around 60/40 at retirement age.
My 401k is set at 80/20 between total stock and total International.
I just put it all in SPY
I assume you mean the vanguard 500 fund. That would be fine but if you want it all in domestic equity, I would use the total market fund. There would probably not be much difference between the 2 though.
