I’m a tax senior wanting to pivot into a financial analyst role. I understand I’ll have to take a pay cut and will essentially be starting from zero. What can I do to make myself more marketable for this role? I was considered courses on sql, tableau, maybe python but even entry level positions seem to require 1-2 years experience. Any advice?

I feel that my spouse and I have different expectations of our careers. I want to be extraordinary and they settle for just a job. I'm passing an interview for IQ (Investment Quebec) for an Analyst role in a fund of funds/VC part of the company.
I can't find clear information on fund of funds, apart from what I already know through school/CFA. Any suggestions or tips?
