Haha aren’t you a little curious how I do.
1) identify target role
2) look for potential decision makers/influencers for that role
3) get their email, schedule a coffee chat. Use the subject line “quick question” (more likely to be opened)
4)during call make a good impression ask a bunch of quality questions, but need to ask the million dollar question “what’s the biggest challenge/or initial that your team is working on”
5)in your follow up email thank them for the call and attach a power point pdf that 1. Summarizes their problem 2. Offers a framework of the solution (based off a shit time of research) 3. Highlights why your skills/passion are lined up perfectly to help contribute towards solving this problem
6) from here noticed how you didn’t once mention the job opening. At this point the target contact will likely refer you to the best fit role which you know is open.
