Please help me in the following situation:

I'm currently serving notice period and gave interviews to Company A & Company B.

My expectations: X lpa

Company A said they will setup a HR discussion.. it didn't happened yet
Company B without any negotiation they released a offer with X+4 Lpa with 3L joining bonus.
My interest lies on company A. But if i ask company A to match the offer company B, I feel bad to avoid company B, as they came forward to offer more.

Should we delay starting school until we can start in person? Lower income students do not have same access to computers, internet, and other required tools. And they may not be in a conducive learning environment eg have to watch younger siblings, have parents that dont care or cannot help with homework, or parents who are not even present. All of which will further exacerbate social inequality.

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.
