Looking for some advice here. Experienced sales person, with a goal of moving into tech. I’ve had a number of interviews in the last week and into this week/next. (Just started applying). Anyway, I’ve also went through an interview process with a great company in my current field. They’re going to make an offer and it’s going to be a good raise over my current position. But, I just don’t feel compelled, I truly want to move industries. It feels weird to turn down a great offer for the unknown

Thank you!

I was in the exact same situation as you and I went into Tech and turned down jobs within my industry.

I now make more money with a way higher cieling! Take the plunge.

Awesome, congrats 🎉

It seems to come down to networking and getting recommendations.

Well done 👍

Awesome, how’d u get the interviews? Are u submitting your resume online, recruiter, or networking on LinkedIn?

Which companies did u interview at?

Thanks

If a position for which I had a first round interview has since been put on hold, would it be reasonable to ask for an informational interview with the would-be hiring manager?
