Looking for some guidance and advise: I'm at the tail end of the interview process with a company and am told I've got one last round to go with their VP. I've also been invited by the recruiter and the hiring director for an in-person visit to their office to meet them the very next day to show around and then they'll treat me out for dinner. I haven't received any offer from them yet. Is this normal/usual for employers to invite candidates for dinners before making an offer?

Products I worked on previously were sold to a new company. I am a good fit because of my experience. Talk me off a ledge!!! I had an interview with one of the leading professional service firms that I won’t mention for an internal services Learning Manager role. (I’m a former employee from the consulting side) I had a first round interview, that from my perspective, I aced… I answered everything thoroughly, I was engaged with the interviewer…she stated my skills lined up perfectly with the role and that she wanted me to talk to her manager….15 min after the interview I get a no go email…ugh

I'm currently interviewing for senior software engineer and have a couple interviews with PMs (culture fit, etc).
I've had some rocky relationships with PMs.
As a PM, what would you like an engineer to ask you?
As an engineer, what would you ask a PM to understand how the work with engineers, what they prioritize, if they throw engineers under the bus, etc?
I've also had many experiences with great PMs.

I have my 3rd out of 4 interviews today for an internal transfer. This position wouldn’t be a promotion but rather a lateral move. 4 interviews? That’s more than an outside hire, the whole reason I’m being considered is my unique value I’ll be bringing to that department.

P.s my final interview is with my current manager who is NOT in charge of the new department… he also told me he didn’t think I was ready for the change when I initially told him I was making a move. Let’s see how it goes!
