Got a job early 2022, which had $5k sign-on bonus and stipulation that if I leave within a year, I have to return it. They’re asking for return of payment, anyone have experience negotiating it down? I’ve completed 10 of 12 months and willing the pay the “remaining months”.

Recruiter reaches out on Wednesday “based on your experience you seem like a good fit” you respond on Wednesday.. crickets. Then today (less than a week later) Recruiter: “thanks so much for getting back to me. Unfortunately this role has been filled” 😂😂😂 well dang, that was quick!

Interviewed for S&O role and wanted to share. Recruiter told me to expect problem solving and stakeholder comm, behavioral and case type questions… It ended up being one 25-min interviewee-led case. I was surprised given all that I had read online about RRK and GCA and Googleyness and the pride Google has in its “unbiased”interview process… it felt like any other MBB interview where your case interviewer decides your fate… guess S&O is just like any consulting firm…
