I am a partner at Husch and came from a higher ranked AmLaw 100 firm. Husch is a much better firm in all respects. Better run. Better WLB. Nicer people. Growing like crazy. The Link virtual office is also top notch - has all the bells and whistles you need to work fully remote and stay fully connected and on track. What every associate should understand is firms may be throwing a bunch of money at associates right now, but nothing comes for free and firms that pay more, expect more. Husch does pay market for the markets they are in and the reasonable expectations they have of associates. Firm culture can’t be bought. And if you are in a firm that is trying to buy you, consider if that is truly the culture where you will ultimately succeed.
Pay is well below market and bonuses are practically non-existent. Otherwise good group of people overall.
P1, we’re going to have to agree to disagree. I left the firm for a reason and my experience is different than what you’re telling.
People are great, pay is behind market, good experience overall but wish I left well earlier in my career.
I have a dear friend who is a shareholder there. No info on WLB, etc., but she is a super smart and fun person. Treats associates fairly. I actually interviewed there a few years ago (TX) and was pretty impressed with the caliber of people.
