No shot Deloitte paid that much

Wow is Deloitte really paying that type of bonus? Regarding your question - what KPMG1 said.

Mind if I ask what you do at deloitte for that salary and bonus? Looks like external hire salary but idk how bonus is so high. —I agree with what kpmg 1 said

Also super curious to know what you do for this salary

Think you answered your own question. You're already maxing retirement accounts, so save the rest towards a house. You can put that in a HYSA/CD/bonds if you plan to buy sooner (1-3 years) or in the market if it's later (4-5+ years). Or you can do a mix of both depending on your risk appetite.

Buy a house where

don’t think you can invest in a roth IRA if you make that much

You can just do a backdoor Roth which is very easy.

I have been in full time permanent work my entire career. If I were to transition to a full time contract role where I’m paying for everything, what is a formula I can use to calculate the salary I want if I’m trying to get a 25% bump in my total compensation? Ex - if I currently make $100k as a permanent fte and my next job I want to make is $125k but I go from permanent to contract work, what is a suitable figure to ask for? Need to calculate paying taxes and the benefits I would be losing.

Constantly hearing keeping money just siting in the bank isn’t a good idea and I should have my money “working for me”. While this may be bad for companies, it opens doors for those looking for work and advancement for the rest of us. Obviously people wouldn’t retire without adequate savings and so I think this is amazing news for us all. Right? Thoughts please. 🤔

I want to retire but I'm in my early 40's. My husband thinks I'm selfish because most of our luxury spending money comes from me. I'm burnt-out in this business and don't want to work anymore. I don't mind not going on luxurious vacations anymore and cutting back on our expenses. I keep seeing my loved ones die at fairly young ages. I want to enjoy what is left of my life. I'm perfectly fine with scalling back. What do you think? Am I being selfish for wanting to be a housewife?

Not looking to get my hand held, and never afraid of hard work, but this project really sucks in my opinion. Really wanna get to a new project but trying to figure out if it’s me or the project?
