The ring hands down. Yes, it’ll get scratched, but the Neverfull will look grubby in a few years (dark vachetta, corner wear). The Neverfull is a classic for a reason, and while I love mine, it is over saturated. Jewelry is a forever keepsake especially with a diamond! It is also a lot more versatile than a bag for daily use/wear. Plus the Cartier presentation and red box is perfect for the holidays!
What about gifting her the shopping experience too? Book an appointment at LV or Cartier, get dolled up, embrace the whole thing.
Good idea. I’ll definitely do this once I figure out which one to go with.
Funny enough I heard on YT from prior LV employees that if you are “just buying” a neverfull , which is their most sold and common bag, they dont want to spend much time on you due to low commission.
Cartier. Holds value. It’s classier. Better made. Timeless.
Did she specifically say she likes the neverfull? I don’t mind LV but personally i wouldn’t want a neverfull for christmas because everyone i know has one. Its not like a “nice” bag anymore- its become a practical “throw it on the floor, use it as a shopper at the mall” kind of bag to me. Not as special. Ring sounds nice but only if you know she will wear it.
How do you expect she will use it?- special occasions or like Everyday work bag? Its more suitable for everyday. Not so suitable if you think she will only whip it out for special occasions (cause its too big and doesnt match the vibe for like a wedding or a fancy dinner). The lv montaigne or petite palais are cute for both everyday & special occasions (to my taste anyway, but you kno your wife better than strangers would).
If she likes to flash it, LV bag. If she likes to be Lowkey, give her the Cartier ring. Nothing wrong with your SO flashing the money. That’s what we worked for
The ring is definitely the better option unless she really wants the bag. But agree with other posters - def book the appointment and have her go in to try it on, etc. It's a great experience.
Cartier love bracelet
2. pls

Is she the type to want to show off? Neverfulls aren’t exactly subtle.
Rising Star
If she’s mentioned it before then I would go with the bag personally, but I’m more of a practical gifts kind of person.
Agree w most of the comments here. The Neverfull is a classic bag but (at least where I live) has become over saturated which makes it not as special. I had one and sold it (as per earlier comments, it does wear kind of fast, which I didn’t really mind but something to keep in mind). I hardly see anyone with Cartier on (and usually they’re wearing the love bracelet) so the ring would be so special! Ultimately depends on what your wife would prefer. I think it’s really hard for me to buy nice jewelry for myself (I usually try to be practical when buying things for myself) so that would be such a nice gift!
No question, Cartier Love ring!
Honestly both are faked so frequently I would go with something more unique unless she really wants one of those. van cleef might be more expensive, but they have beautiful earrings. I would go with the ring over the bag though if she really wants it!
Don’t get the neverfull it’s a complete waste of money. It’s a terrible value. There are way better bags for that price that are classier without saying I’m basic and wanna appear rich. It’s also a very commonly faked bag so I usually assume that unless you look the part, the bag is prob fake.
Consider an Epi bag from LV. It’s more subtle and classic.
What about a piece of David Yurman jewelry?
Bag. Bag. Bag.
The Cartier ring! I think it gives off a more luxurious feeling and is a nice special present for the holidays. The Neverfull will wear out in a couple of years, is extremely oversaturated in the market and gives off an “I’m trying to look rich” vibe. If she really wants an LV tote though the OntheGo is a much nicer option. Also totally agree with the comments about the shopping experience.
Consider a more interesting bag. The market is over saturated with Neverfulls. Practically, it’s a canvas bag, so maybe something in leather that will wear better? Does she want something of that size and/or shape? Consider Bottega Veneta, Loewe, The Row, Khaite, or Proenza Schouler.
Let's just admit unless she just had a baby and needs to carry diapers and baby stuff, never full will not be flattering for her and basically anyone.
Whatever you can comfortably afford. But I’d go with the experience of buying more than buying itself (with her). For context, I bought my wife on different occasions LV Neverfull (New York), another LV bag (Paris), a Gucci GG Marmont (in Milan), a Cartier love ring (Paris), a Dior book tote (in Munich). She remembers more the details of the buying experience but seldom uses any of the bags.
