I wouldn’t say they’re the best, however I do love mine. I think they’re great for the price point compared to a tumi, for example.
I heard great things about the bigger carry on
Away bags are so much nicer looking than tumi. Tumi bags are hideous
I love my Away suitcases. I have the carry on for international travel bc like European regional airlines have smaller overhead bin dimensions, and the bigger carry on for domestic travel on major airlines. You can fit an absurd amount in them. I have had them for 5 years and I travel a LOT and they’re both still in really amazing shape.
Always are the best bang for the buck
Mmm.. I really like my Rimowas. Super light, strong and rolls so smoothly. Kind of overpriced, but I don’t care.
Rimowa all the way. Use their plastic ones (the ones with sturdy handles) - they’re lighter and no less sturdy than the aluminium types. Also cheaper, although they’re quite an investment. You buy them for life, there’s also a decent repair service.
Rising Star
Tumi is still the gold standard, it’s just expensive. Away gets pretty mixed reviews.

I've had my Ricardo set since 2014 and still the best value for the money i paid. Weekly road warrior pre covid with plenty of personal travel. Finally in the market for a new set but seeing they don't make them like they used to anymore
