For mid level litigators that have made the move from big law to boutique, what was that experience like? I feel like in big law we don’t always get the best experience in terms of learning practical skills, and I know juniors at boutiques can get way more of that experience than mid levels in big law (eg, first chairing depos, client or witness interviews, etc). Hello! Do you guys have any decent recos for taking a cut from referrals? I’ve operated by the karma system for a decade but now wondering if it makes sense to take a cut if I’m sourcing the talent. Either percentage or flat fee that doesn’t break the bank of the freelancer or hurt them but pays me for the work of sourcing them. Definitely not at the recruiter / staffing firm level.
