Hi ,I have been interviewed and selected in S&P Global .salary almost negotiated and waiting for the offer letter to release. But seems like they are not willing to release the offer because of my 90 np . They are asking to join by 60 days but initially I told them my NP is 90. Even I am ready to take the 60 days offer but now they are not releasing offer as they want assurance. Now they are not picking calls.seems like i will loose the offer. Is there anything can be done.
For those into LP, which pools do you use?
The specialist role will be easier to get vs integrative role. 1) the applicant pool will be smaller 2) there is a potentially better role fit.
For McK (someone correct me) you have 3 client-facing tracks:
- Expert track
- Integrative (Generalist) track
- Implementation track
Strategy work is generally the remit of the integrative track. I've seen some cross-over (implementation guys staffed on strategy projects and integrative guys staffed on implementation work), so there's that.
Re: your question, I think you should go for what you want rather than what your experience indicates - we've all seen fairly common cases of people coming from industry with no strategy background. If you apply as a generalist, most likely you'll be coming in relatively junior so you'd have plenty of time to learn the ropes.
Do Experts and integrative consultants do different work?
