Just got my eyebrows threaded here on the west coast and when I left the shop there were five women in it— a Nepali women, an Indian woman, a Korean , a white lady and a black lady. I loved the diversity so much haha. All were customers waiting in line except the proprietor :)

How well do your coworkers know you? My gf low-key hates that I never talk about her at work and keep my personal life guarded. In contrast, my gf (who doesn't work in law) spends time socially with her coworkers outside of work and they talk to each other about their personal lives. I think socializing makes it harder to do my job - less time spent billing, harder to keep good boundaries, etc.

Amex platinum corporate card — is this worth the $550 a year upgrade for an MBB consultant (entry level post MBA) given the COVID situation? I’m thinking of keeping the green card since there’s no traveling due to COVID and don’t think I will be expensing much due to WFH. Wanted to get your guys’ thoughts though, is it worth it even when traveling starts up? Anything I’m not taking into consideration?

Some orgs tried/have proven to be more productive with less (e.g. 6hr work days, 4 day work weeks) but I don’t know if consulting leaders are enthusiastic about normalizing this since “it’s the land of billable hours”...

Hello fellow 🐟. It's been 1.2 years since I joined Risk Consulting as an IT Advisory Analyst fresh out of college. I thought it would be consulting, but turns out it's just IT audits. Anyways, I was a programmer in college and made sure that I leveraged those skills and I am one of the key contributors to the firms Intelligent Automation practice using tech like RPA, AI/ML. I don't know if I can transition to something interesting (tech prod mgmt or MC), I am currently preparing for GMAT.
