Start networking and just talking to people. People love to talk about their projects and often need help - that can look a million different ways. Some of my best opportunities have come from just unsolicited introductions and me reaching out, setting up coffee/drinks/even a zoom intro.

Or just look around at kool products or solution categories and get to know the providers in the space. Pick one or two that are new or kind of suck and reach out to get involved. Might be a longer road but you’ll be more interested and more likely to do whatever needs to be done and enjoy it. This is how I’ve seen late-add cofounder type people make the inner circle

Hi friends! I’m looking for resources to help me be successful in a “Functional Lead” role.

The role is in FinTech
I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Anyone out there in a role like this? Any books. videos or even best practices to share?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.

Hi guys I have an offer from Accenture and no issues in terms of CTC, job profile or other things. The only thing I am skeptical about is the job security. Do they really get rid of employees in a regular basis or the covid situation was a one time measure? This would probably be the last switch in my career and security would be of utmost importance to me. Please advise

My previous career path was in marketing for a notable real estate team. I make $60k annually as a marketing director (laughable, I know). Flexing on these fools with a…Hyundai? To quote Katt Williams, “what part of the game is this?!?”

If all else fails, you can always go on LinkedIn and stunt on your connections with a moderately priced SUV.

I have a Hyundai, they are solid cars, but this isn’t work related and it’s not a flex.

I just accepted an M offer from Deloitte but don't start for at least another month. Haven't even had a chance to give my current employer notice. But I already have folks from Deloitte asking to connect to get me staffed on their project.

Is this typical? Best way to respond? I was hoping to have a little time to orient myself -- don't feel I even know the right questions to ask to see if the project would be a good fit.

Might be an odd question: we have multiple great ideas and sources of funding. Would it make sense to build out a portfolio of the companies as a fund or to build them directly? Concerned about spreading too thin by pursuing them all but all have significant potential. I have always been more entrepreneurial, never really thought about scaling up and running multiple companies. Thoughts?
