Looking to begin a career in Financial or Business Analytics. I am an Economics major that graduated in Dec 2020. Since then I have been an Operations Analyst at a FinTech company. I also have some past experience as an analyst at a small business lending company in college. I have been applying for jobs for the past ~6 months. I have made it to the final round of a few interviews, but have not received any offers. Does anyone have any advice for me? I would greatly appreciate any insight.

My first step would be having a professional resume writer optimize your resume. There are various services online, or you can hire a freelancer on Upwork. Also, whenever possible, ask the interviewer for feedback. That can shed light on what you need to work on for future opportunities. Best of luck to you - you'll get it one of these days!

Where do you live ? Are you located in the NYC area ?

I currently live on Long Island, but close enough that it would be a quick commute to NYC. I have been applying for jobs in NYC.

I think if that's happening a lot, it might be worth doing some kind of interview prep/coaching?

Hi guys,

I submitted my resume in Accenture portal 3 months back and now I got shortlisted for interview.

My yoe is 3.6, but the interview is scheduled role "Application lead project". Is this normal?

Are there any chances they might reject me as the interview is for lead role while my YOE fall in senior analyst / analyst role.

Thanks,

If the same company is hiring for two very similar but different positions and you qualify for both, do you apply to both? Additional caveat is that I interviewed for one of them last week. No word yet on whether I made it to the next round. Would gladly accept either position, but not sure how it would look if I apply for the second position while still being considered for the first. On the flip side, I don't want to miss the window on the second position while waiting to hear back...thoughts?

Should I mail/call HR regarding the update?

I work mainly with react, TS, node, graphql, mongoose and mongoDB.
