Looking to build an excel based tool using macros that will pull tabs & then reformat them from a separate workbook in order to create summaries.

Any good training resources/ videos on how to go about this? Have very limited macro experience.

Any one works in a one man / one woman tax department? How do you effectively manage the relationships with outside tax providers, and with accounting/finance department inside of the company? I have multiple weekly calls with different teams from our CPA firm, with accounting/finance team inside, I tend to address issues as they arise. I was told I have been managing well, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

My firm is really great. Mid sized regional firm. People are great, work is great. But I’m a junior and there are zero mid levels in my specific office. I’m questioning if I am getting the proper training as other juniors at other firms. The pay is good for a firm of this size with its presence, but feel like someone with my level of experience should be trying to get the proper training in order to succeed as I progress. How many years is optimal to work in consulting before exiting to industry? Been in consulting since undergrad (~1 year). Content enough with my job to stay for a few years or more if that’s what opens the most doors for me, but I’m interesting in exiting as soon as I can to a role with less hours but seniority / upward mobility (willing to compromise short-term comp).

Hey guys, did you ever encounter the following problem & know a solution:
Whenever I reference another tab in any given formula in my model, XLS first calculates everything as it should be. However directly afterwards (or sometimes only after saving) the formula vanishes and only the resulting value is left. Hence, all automation etc in the xls does not work.

Any ideas what's happening and how I can solve it without rebuilding the whole model?
