Looking to buy a car, preferably a reliable luxury SUV between 25-30K. Anyone have recommendations based on ownership experience?

GX if you’re looking family size

A 2019 Mazda CX-5 with the white interior, air conditioned seats, bose, sunroof, and the upgraded headsup display is a great car, drives great everything just works... id go that route over something older and “nicer”

G Wagon

Used Porsche Macan. Drives amazing

Stelvio drives better though

Lexus GX460. Technology is a bit dated and they are not the best on gas however it's a true old school SUV that is one of the most dependable cars you can buy.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio

I have a Grand Cherokee - you could probably grab a nicely equipped Limited edition coming off lease for $25K or so. I really enjoy driving it; never had an issue for the 5 years I’ve owned it.

Forgot to say used is acceptable

Grand cherokee - not an rec driven by experience though

My Jeeps have all been fine; Jeep Wrangler owner 2003-current and Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018-current. I bought with extra warranty and didn’t need them. Not sure if I just got lucky but I bought them bc we do go off road for camping etc and they are excellent for the purpose.

Honda Pilot ?

Land rover, Bmw

$25-$30k is most likely going to have to be used, especially for luxury (not necessarily sure how that’s defined)
Buick actually makes some really great SUVs that feel more expensive than they are

2017 BMW X5

CX-5 for that price range

A used Grand Cherokee Overland. You could probably get a 2015 for around 30k. They’re fantastic. The Overland is the super luxury edition btw.

How to approach quitting right before busy season? I am AY2 and I’m on a really, really great team. I anticipate getting a low interest 24 month loan (hoping 0%) next year of about 15k.

I am currently living "paycheck to paycheck" (after maxing retirement accounts). But I have cash savings from inheritance in a HYSA: 15k emergency fund + 20k excess cash.

I can afford to pay the loan in full immediately, but assuming low rate, I don't plan to. What's the best strategy here? I can't just invest my 20k excess cash because I live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford the minimum payments (cont)

Need advice: I have an opportunity to work as an advisor for an early stage startup (just completed family and friends round) . They have asked me to put together a proposal in terms of what I would like to receive in return. This company’s current valuation is at $4.5M based upon a couple of private investors offers. I am expecting to spend 2-3 hours/week on this company and potentially help them with some of my connections to increase their sales (cont.)

Apologies if this has been asked already. My I140 has been approved in July 2021, and I have an extension till Jan 2023. I know that I have to stay with my current firm at least till Jan 2022. If I do move to a new firm in say Feb 2022, will the new firm be able to file for an extension using my I140? Or will I have to wait for the new firm to complete the whole PERM and everything and get a new I140 and then file for extension? If the latter is the case, I will have to wait for my current cont

Hi Designers,
Been working as an Assistant Technician for 3 years (2 years excluding pandemic) pay is £21k now £22 adjusted for inflation. I will be completing my Part 1 in architecture but also have a degree in Technology, should I find a different company after graduation or take roles offering £30-45k as an Architectural Technologist/Technician.

Anyone have any local accountant recommendations? Wife and my taxes aren’t super complicated. Thanks!

Hi all! I spent 8 years working in the veterinary field before deciding to go back to school to get a degree in communication media. I graduated in 2020 and I got a job with a national franchise (corporate) less than a year after graduating. The role was for a Brand Manager and it transitioned to Communication Manager about 7 months in. The company was toxic, disorganized, had no idea what they were doing. *cont in comments*

Has anyone got any idea when/ if we’ll ever be notified if we are “safe” I was told to expect comms today...

Thread: I’ve been talking to this company for months and the recruiter has been in and out with communication. A few weeks ago, he reached out, apologized for the delay and explained they needed to figure out role priorities but that they’re moving forward, I’m a top candidate, & they wanted to wrap up interviews and extend an offer the following week. He never reached out to set up interviews and hasn’t replied to any of my calls or emails.
