Looking to buy a house. Right now, my wife makes 50k, but she after 1 year she will stop working to be a stay at home mom. Should I still include her income on a mortgage application or is it best to leave it off and only report mine?

If you can afford the mortgage with just your income include her will help the loan application and potentially lower the interest rate. If you can’t, don’t buy.

Hey ATL fish, is there a negative connotation to Chamblee vs Brookhaven. From a home buy perspective, I am seeing better deals, newer homes in Chamblee. Both are ITP. But I get the sense that Chamblee has a "working class" element to it, especially with respect to Buford Hwy corridor. Any thoughts?

We are exploring loan options and wanted to check with this group for other creative ways to manage. Thanks a lot for the help!

Hi All! Just looking for some guidance.

I took a loan against my 401k and the repayment is drawn from my paycheck. Included in that payment is 6% interest.

I have enough money to repay the remaining balance of the loan. The question is: should I repay it now or just continue with the payment and pay off if I leave the company?

The money would go into savings / investments.

Thank you!
