I’m looking for some additional tips and/or specific things to focus on in preparation for the multi-round interview process for a role at Amazon Web Services in what I assume is for one of the cloud services team. From what I’ve gathered, is the interviews are largely based on the leadership principles. However, how do I know which would be asked? which would be more related to the role/or team I’d be on? What other types of questions to prepare for leading to the 1-on-1 with the hiring manager

If you can wait until next summer (and if it matters to you), I believe the engines are all moving down a trim to make room for the EV variant. So the GTS will get the current Turbo engine. The S trim will get the GTS engine, etc. I believe pricing will stay the same as well, so you could either get more performance for your buck or save some money.
They are great albeit expensive compared to the other German competitors. Probably best driving dynamics that gets close to a sports car for a compact SUV.
Oh gotcha. The C&D articles I read were worded as if the exact engines are shifting down a trim. Regardless, the power bands are roughly the same output I think.
We’ve leased all Macan trim levels from base through GTS over the years. While the GTS has the most content and more aggressive looks and sound, the base model actually felt zippier around town, probably due to lower weight. All models are the best driving SUV under 100k. If you can swing it though, recommend going for a Cayenne. More comfort, more modern content and virtually no sacrifice in everyday performance.
This is accurate. New GTS will be getting the old turbo engine, old GTS goes to the S, base remains the 4-cylinder
Not quite. Different engines. But conceptually the power is moving down a trim.
I’ve had one for a couple years, what questions you got? You getting used or a new one? Mine has been rather great, minor issues with electrical on a tail light as well as rear window.
While some will say it’s too compact, I love just being able to reach in the back seat and grab stuff, it’s also compact enough for parking garages and so on. However, I did have to get the dealer to install a hitch so I could carry my bikes as it didn’t have a roof rack.
Maintenance is rather pricey, but really depends where you live—had mine serviced at various Porsche dealerships and the rates vary quite a lot.
I’d love to get the 22 GTS, but have a 21 911 and not sure I can justify having a 2nd new car.
Thank you all for the information. I was thinking of a certified 2019, but can’t find any near by. Lots of certified 2018s and 2017s.
I know regular service/maintenance will be high. Wanted to get a sense for other unexpected problems.
I was planning to use it as daily driver. I don’t drive much, about 500 miles a month. Plan test drive them this week, but don’t plan on buying until winter. Hopefully will have some off lease 2019 available then.
Listen to me above anyone here. Relatively no difference between 17/18/19 except warranty left. Get a CPO 18 or 19 and you’ll have 3 ish years of warranty. Your just doing oil changes and interval services. Maybe tires once in that timeframe.
A colleague has one - huge difference in the post facelift model. Main changes, aside from the newer taillights and much improved infotainment is the engine. Post facelift went from the old 3.0 to the 2.9l engine, which is a detuned version of the Turbo engine rather than a turned up S. It sounds better than the 3.0 and goes better, and is very well equipped. If I was in the market for a Macan I think the GTS is the sweet spot. Very little performance difference to the Turbo.
Agree if getting a new one with the new engine, but that’s a 2020+ model change not a 2019 change. I have an 18 GTS, it goes like snot, sounds great, and if you want you can Cobb tune and get +100tq +50hp for $1200
I have an 18 GTS. Just bought it. Great car. Has the super duper audio system. All the stuff. Make sure you get one with roof rail system. Otherwise, you can’t retrofit that and it’s not that spacious so you may want to throw a thule on the top and can’t really do it well without those rails.
I had to put a factory hitch on mine to get more space, pricey but with it to haul bikes/storage box.
Chief
I had a base Macan and it handled quite well. Like a slightly taller Volkswagen Golf. The 4cyl was slow but obviously a GTS will be very quick. Good car overall imo
Currently have a S. Test drove a GTS, while it’s killer on handling n Roar, the mpg was abysmally low 9 during test drive. As a daily driver, it wasn’t suited for knowing my driving style. Base was too Meh 😑 for me.
I get 30mpg highway in my 2018 GTS. If you’re hammering it around town I don’t care what you have you’re not getting above 15 and if you’re buying a car based on how many mpg you get when hooning you’re just not doing it right my guy.
