These are all over the place - need to narrow it done by style, function, movement, etc. How will you be wearing the watch (every day, nice events, working out?) and do you care about things like the movement, history, etc?
I know my problem is I cannot even decide on type style. Thats the main issue here ;)
Its adding to.. I nowadays use my Seamaster and Tissot prx as daily watches. So this could be daily or for special events. Yeah I care about history etc but mostly how it looks and the details/finishing.
First of all congrats on the milestone 🥂 I’m still a couple years away at best but when it happens I’m getting a Patek, no questions. But I’m also the very last person left at McK who wears a suit and tie everyday and so my daily wear watches tend towards the dressier end.
Pro
Why aren’t all of you wearing suits anymore is the real question. Was there like a big Zoom meeting during Covid where this was decided and I was double-booked?
The Patek. The rest is not even close

🚫 just say no to Hublot 🚫

Do you have other watches? If so, it would be helpful to know what’s in your current collection.
I second lange option as well! Beautiful piece

I would rank the list as: 1) reverso; 2) el primero; 3) calatrava; 4) GO panomatic. The other two is not worth considering, IMO.

Don’t think you can go wrong with any of those except the hublot. I’m not a huge fan of Ulysses Nardin, but I’m not near as turned off by them as I am with hublot.
Are you planning on wearing it daily or is it just adding to the collection? Could change my answer
Rising Star
I mean if you like it get it, it’s your money and collection! But depending on what your collection is like, my vote is for the JlC, the Reverso is a classic and a must have for a collection. The zenith is a close second for me.

Have you actually tried any of these in the metal?
Like, that Reverso looks great in pictures, but it’s freaking huge in reality. Same with the Panomaticlunar.
Good point.. will visit the AD this holiday

You made partner… the only option you should struggle with is which gold Rolex day-date to get
Pink gold green dial but its ridiculously expensive
Im leaning towards glasshutte but thinking the novelty of the layout may wear off
Pro
If you like the GO, have you considered a Lange 1? It’s more wearable and will stretch your budget, but if I made partner, that would be my watch.

Reverso is a classic
I think Ill have to test some on the wrist soon to get a better sense
This. For this kind of money go and try them on, photos will never be a good substitute for actually trying them on.
Hublot🤢
Im not yet used to spending alot of money, but i get what you mean.
May have missed this but, what's your budget?
Was thinking max 15k to be honest
A few solid dress watch options. Have you considered Lange?
As someone said above IWC portugeiser chrono or portofino chrono ($7000). The portofino handwound moon phase is $13k. Enjoy the process
You made partner bud go big
At 15k, I would do JLC - reverso or MUT
How about a Jaeger LeCoultre Moon Ultra thin?
