I'm currently working as an Associate Consultant at EY Tech Consulting, and considering applying to Gartner's India CoE team by end of the year. I'm due for a promotion to Consultant by end of September, so should I wait until that happens to make my move or should I apply right away? Also, what would be the ideal entry point for me, Associate Consultant or Consultant?
I'd really appreciate hearing from someone about the work culture, pay estimates and get an idea before applying.

Learn SQL at at a min and not cut and paste SQL but how to code- when I post Data Analyst or Data Scientist jobs I get 4X the number of applicants- mostly early career-but all have Python, R, SQL, BI tools out the wazoo and CS or IT degrees etc etc - I can be super picky- but SQL is table stakes and unless you're applying for finance excel jockey jobs it will be required. Maybe Focus on BA/ BI roles? Get certs in Tableau, and other data viz tools and you'll probably be able to qualify for BI / BA roles supporting finance orgs to make the most of your experience.
