I'm currently trying to navigate a new build in dripping springs but the lots won't be available until later this summer. Not sure if it fits into what you're looking for, but more than happy to connect. I don't even need the coffee!

Put 5% down on my condo and did my first gut renovation on the place, spending about $40K. Took the place from $425K - $490-500K according to my realtor.

I learned a lot and want to flip another property, but also kinda fell in love with my current place and don’t want to sell. I’ve only got about $45K in cash right now - is there any way to get the cash back from my renovation to put towards another without selling?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

Wife and I want to start investing in properties in the next couple years but worried about being able to have a large enough down payment to get into the game. What’s the minimum you would advise someone to put down on their first property? We’re in Texas btw. High prop taxes ~2.5%. Looking for properties around 200k. It also worries me that the money would just sit there for a couple years not benefiting me while we try to accumulate enough.

Is anyone here familiar with RSUs and stock options as part of divorce? My arbitrator was not and she asked us to hire an expert to get a valuation. She’s convinced I cannot take my portion in kind if we could not settle on the value and I don’t want to be forced to sell my half to Husband at whatever valuation expert provides today (RSUs and stock options are under Husband’s name). If they low ball I rather take the risk and take them in kind. Any advice would be helpful.

My mom bought a second property and it went up by 200 K so she’s now looking to refinance it. She’s asked to put my name on the mortgage as my dads credit is not the best. She has and still will be paying the mortgage payments. Also, when I do plan on buying my first house years from now she said she will remove my name from the mortgage so it doesn’t affect my credit and sell the property if I need help for the down payment. I trust my mom and I do want to support her but is this a good idea?
