I think cracking your interview skills is more critical than getting MBA, at least for FAANG

MBA sounds like a ridiculously expensive solution to getting a PM role. If you were involved in SWE and product roles then there should be plenty of things you can add in your resume to get an interview and offer. Sell yourself well and prepare for PM interviews.

Definitely agree, but have been having trouble getting my foot in the door, so figured top 10 grad school would solve those problems. Any advice on landing the first interview?

Get experience. Join a start up if you need to or build something yourself. Dropping $200k for a shot at roles you aren’t getting looked at for now doesn’t make sense. Even leaving Accenture and becoming a SWE makes more sense than shooting for a MBA.

Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

I keep seeing those LinkedIn polls about how many people want to work from home permanently, and it makes me kinda sad. I know a lot of people really prefer working from home, but as a junior who only started working after the pandemic began, it feels so strange to not have an agency to go to. I know all my coworkers faces only from seeing them on Zoom, and only in the context of work-related conversations. I hope I’ll actually get the chance to experience normal agency culture.
