Looking for ideas on how to crowd source my thinking and responsibilities. What are the top 10 things consultants should start thinking about to make others do my work for me?
You shouldnt be here if you can't figure this out yourself.
Be resourceful and research, then present and defend your position. This is far from objective and noone has an answer key.
Recruiting is supposed to filter people like you out.
It should also go without saying that outsourcing your firm thought leadership to *competing firms* is a massive no-no. An intern did this a couple years back (lifted their key points for a white paper from a competitors published research), and we chose not to give them a return offer because of the extremely poor judgment.
If I was the sm who gave you this task and saw this thread, we would be having a serious discussion about whether you have a future at the firm.
@A2 you don’t know me or why I’m here asking this question. Just because you got recruited by some consulting firm and you wait line to get your little bi-weekly chicken change paycheck doesn’t mean anyone cares about your opinion on who should get recruited or not. If you don’t have anything positive to say then don’t say anything! Just because I chose to ask my question here, addition to my research doesn’t make a difference... the last I checked this platform is meant for people to ask anything, and to share thoughts and ideas.
Some of y’all are sitting here acting as if you always have these out of this world innovative ideas that you came up with. The reality is we are all people and look for ideas in all kinds of places and ways. For your own information, this is for a school paper I’m working on and has nothing to do with me using this for work. So for all of you that are here to criticize me for asking this question on here....keeping it moving!

A2, be nice 😆
OP must be PwC
Arguably even worse if for school. Are you going to cite as 'Randoms on Fishbowl App', or pass off their ideas as your own (academic violation at any university worth going to).
You sound flustered, and your argument and 'insults' are barely coherent. Yes, I make a very healthy salary - you caught me!
I doubt whether you have the maturity to see it, but the observations I made were for your own benefit. Being able to research and present a point of view (like the stated question) is a core skill in management/strategy consulting and something clients rely on us to be able to do well. You are displaying poor judgment and shortcut-seeking behavior, and not in a way that will deliver a better end product. I have seen consultants ruin their early career over less.
