I have a written offer that’s contingent on a background check. I don’t anticipate any hang ups with the check but would like to wait until giving my notice until everything is official. My question is that there’s a set start date on my written offer. Which could leave my current position with under a 2 week notice period. Thoughts on how to cautiously proceed while waiting for background check to complete?

My boss the general manager is setting me up at work. She is saying all this stuff about me that is not true at all. But when I come into her shift or come into my shift after hers nothing is done for me. A lot of the prep is not done. And she complains about me not doing the prep. Stuff Is still dirty. One day she left the grill on. Etc. There was another manager there training to run another store and she said I basically do a lot of the work while she doesn't do much. So she stood up for me.

Hello, I've been a Recruiter for 12 years and my current employer was bought by another Recruiting firm. I don't like the new firms structure and the health benefits are very very expensive. Is there any tips on how to adjust my resume to be more attractive for corporate recruiting roles? Can anyone share their thoughts on Randstad Sourceright? I've been offered a role with them as a consultant and would be seconded to another business. Salary is v good and they pitch it as consulting but with the security of being a PAYE/perm employee... which sounds great but it seems almost too good to be true! Like, at the end of the 12 month secondment are they just planning to pay my wage until they get me another contract?

I’ve been a recruiter for 20 yrs, but am still young. First 10 yrs were Corporate TA; most recent 10 are with Agency. For the majority of my career, I’ve been passionate about my job. I navigated the highs and lows and was always enthusiastic about starting each workday. We recently had leadership changes that affect me negatively…. But my job is still intact. However, I have lost my mojo. Reviewing Recruiter job postings does nothing to inspire me.

I had submitted my resignation a few days ago. It’s been an emotional few days sharing the news with the different teams that I work with. Everyone seems upset and I feel like I’m leaving my family, but the other job has better benefits/pay.

Has anyone else had this feeling? Leaving a company/people that you’re so close with for the unknown at a new position? Not sure if the feeling of guilt/emotions will pass once I officially leave.

Any UK based HR Professionals or Recruiters in here? I’m struggling on which certifications to get. Just pivoted into a Talent Sourcer role, I have experience of talent attraction but I wonder which HR/recruitment qualifications I could do to support my transition.

Deciding between:
1. CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice (will allow me to gain a high level view of the HR function that my new role fits into)
2. Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice
