Looking to get a new desk for my house especially since it looks like we won’t be going to an office anytime soon - any recommendations? Trying to get something decent without needing another stimulus check to pay for it.

I wouldn’t spent much $$ on a desk. I would drop the money on a chair

Google search for used office furniture stores in your area. I got a used steelcase desk for 30% of retail. There are deals to be had as few are furnishing offices at the moment.

I have the Alex desk from IKEA and love it

Why not make a door desk?

My offer letter from HCL has two variable pay components-
1) Performance bonus
2) Engagement PB(paid monthly).
Do I expect the second one to be paid monthly and the first one once a year?
Also they have flex basket and food wallet, are these also paid monthly?

Hi team, I joined Accenture recently ( 20) days however I received an offer from product based company with better pay and profile.

How should I quit Accenture. Will it affect my future job prospects and I need to show this company in my resume. Will Accenture blacklist me to join in future if quit it.

Other company is aware of this situation and they don't have a problem and they have already considered me.

Result i need to give while I quit.

de Blaiso says we’re on track to hit orange zone of restrictions post Thanksgiving which means no more indoor dining among other things.

The metric they are using is % positivity rate.

My question is this - is this a fair metric and if not what is a better metric to compare if it’s getting worse and we need social controls?

I only got tested when I traveled out of state for wedding and thought I was at a high(er) risk for exposure. Tested positive but I was already expecting that. (Contd)

Got covid from the UK , double vaxxed , and symptoms are wildly atrocious. Everyday I have different issues. I went from no fever to 102.4 in a couple of minutes. Blood oxygen dropped dangerously low and bounced back in a few minutes. Chills , cold sweats. My newest one is that my legs are so achey and sore it feels like they were beaten with a bat , just nonstop pain and can’t sleep. Anyone else experience these? Pretty sure I’d be hospitalized at a minimum without the vax

Hot take, for those who received a stimulus based on FY19 or FY18 returns why doesn’t the government make people pay it back in the FY20 return if they don’t qualify based on the actual tax year stimulus was for? I understand why they couldn’t wait but IrS knows who received it so it isn’t hard to implement. Could have used the anticipated saving coming back to fund more stimulus for those who truly needed it.
