I spent 15 years in industry, last 3 in consulting. I feel like I’m a generalist now instead of a SME. What’s the best way to seek a new job in industry & position in the interviews? How to explain the 3 year gap without disclosing that it was just something I wanted to try and then got complacent and now am seemingly 3 years behind my peers/industry knowledge. I feel like I’ve lost my way a bit.
Opinions wanted-Does randomly calling on students using a random generator create an emotionally safe classroom? I had a very quiet class last year where no one wanted to answer (Precalc) and I called on the students randomly and that caused anxiety among some students. I want it to be safe to answer, but of course I don’t know the students previous classroom experiences with other teachers. What are your best practices?
With Accenture's rewards decisions coming out, how did everyone do? Old Title --> New Title % Raise % Bonus (if applicable) Old Salary --> New Salary CDO or C&M
If you had a stress free 40 hr job doing what you liked, what compensation would you feel satisfied with plateauing at? How much are you making now?
Why do EB’s ask unrealistic and difficult technicals while BB’s are much easier in my exp? Do schools have specific courses to prep for IB interviews? Not the best way to screen IMO
Need some emotional support - didn’t get this job I was interviewing for 4 months. The recruiter said team still loves your experience but not exactly what they are looking for, why drag it out for 4 months and 10 rounds of interviews 😭
Tired of hearing about how there’s going to be a “cure” or a “vaccine” for COVID and life’s going to just go back to normal. News flash... There isn’t. It’s a virus just like the flu or the common cold which (spoiler alert) also have no cure or vaccine. I’m not saying there won’t be antiretroviral treatments to help the symptoms, but there will never be a “cure” or “vaccine”. Unfortunately as with any virus, the only way to move past this is herd immunity. This is basic biology.
I just took a 60k salary cut to get experience in a new category. Also not working with a-holes. That’s a plus.

In AFS, does my CC have a say in my promotion or is it all my supervisor? My annual performance advocate is my cc btw

Aloof from project SM thinks he can get away with responding to my question with a question. Na man, 2 can play this game.
All else equal, which one would be considered more desirable for AdComs (~1 year prior to matriculation): A promotion within Accenture (SA -> Consultant) or a lateral move to MBB as an Associate?
Not including the canned stuff from wirehouses, does anyone send out a newsletter regularly to their clients?
WWYD? Move from Accenture to BCG for a 40% raise, but cost of living increases 50%+ due to relocation. I'm up for promo this year at Accenture too, which brings BCG's offer to a mere 15% more.
When you fly between two client cities within the same week for different projects, which project should I expense for that flight?
Hi peeps my stem opt is expiring on 6/30/2021. If I am in the cap waitlist can I still continue working till my h1b is rejected? Thanks in advance 😊
