Looking to get input from different firms - did your firm have initial pay freezes, decreases, or promotional pay freezes? Are they beginning to start pay/promotional raises now later down the road? I got both a yearly and promotional pay freeze with no timeline of change in sight. I have been senioring jobs for the past year now with the pay of a staff 2, and long story short, I feel that they are trying to buy me for another busy season

Graduated paycut starting at 5%, maxing out at 9% I think. Initially supposed to be 4 months, but pay was reinstated after 2 months. No raises or bonuses, even for promotions. We were not paid back for what we lost from the cuts either. I believe they are re-evaluating and should have some sort of plan end of September

Update: As of today our raises and bonuses are going to be reinstated as well as getting back pay for our pay cuts over the summer in September. Which is great news

We had a 10% pay reduction that was to be re-evaluated end of September, but they announced they are giving it back August 31st. They also mentioned raises would be handled as usual. Top 20 firm.

Pay freezes unless promoted (raises effective July 1 so roughly 1/3 of people for raises). Bonuses paid end of September.

Promo bump to senior was about 10%. There’s a salary range for each staff level, so the promo increase was more than 10% for people that would not have made it to the bottom of the range.

5% pay cut for most of the firm (if you made more, you got cut more). Promotion discussions delayed until 11/1 and we still haven’t heard anything. However, it’s been rumored that they are only giving max 3% raises to those promoted and zero raises for the ones that aren’t. Also, no bonuses.

Pay freeze except for those promoted, no bonus this FY. Thankful for no pay cuts.

Initially no pay cuts, promos get 5% increase, and got bonuses August 1st... but they did do 2 rounds of layoffs and furloughed people. They literally announced yesterday to give everyone a raise 11/1.

They are delaying raises/bonuses from their normal time but we are still supposed to get raises/bonuses in November - applies to everyone not just those being promoted. I’m sure they won’t be great but considering we never had any sort of mass layoffs they may not be terrible. Mid sized regional firm in NY.

Senior on a new engagement with new hires as staff plus an off shore team. I get IMs and emails all day from every direction and it’s getting overwhelming. It’s to the point where I feel like I can’t leave my computer even for a few minutes. I can’t get anything done during the day and I’m not sure what to do. Any advice for a worn out senior? I’m delegating and taking extra time to coach the staff but I still feel like I gotta do everything myself.
