Looking to get into an HR Administrator role, any career suggestions?

Do you have any Admin or HR experience? You will definitely need to revamp your resume, along with networking your way into a role. Do you have a long term goal that you’d like to reach in HR? An HR Admin is more of an entry/ junior level position, so where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?

It sounds like you’re more of an HR Generalist than a Recruiter and I would suggest speaking to your employer, about a title change. Also, understand that you can put a different title on your resume, whenever applying for new roles, based upon the work you’ve done.

PM me if you're open to answering some entry level sales questions and maybe being a mentor if we vibe. Or just drop a piece of advice you wish you knew as an entry level salesperson and what companies to avoid.

Hey! I'm just about to start doing some freelance work for a NYC based boutique design studio, and I need to give a hiring manager my hourly rate to give his customers. I am new to UI/UX design. I have experience in graphic design, but I just completed a certificate in UI/UX design so other than school projects I don't have an extensive amount of experience. What would you suggest I should charge? I am more interested in gaining experience than needing the money, but want to be payed reasonably.

I interviewed with HM at RBC for a product manager role. He liked me.
Now he said that he wants me to meet one of his direct reports and said it will be a culture fit interview but informal.
What does it mean? What shall I prepare for this call? He will be my peer if I get selected.
The HM also mentioned that if all goes well for me in this call, then he will do a case interview with me as next and final step.

Any guidance on how and what do i prepare for this “informal culture fit interview”?

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Is anyone else trying to find the balance between being for the company and for the employees?
I've been told I'm too much in favour of the employees when I'm defending the lower-paid employees, or talking about employee well-being, but somehow it's ok when the higher-ups go out of their way to give the higher-paid employees financial assistance, or to allow toxic managers to continue in their positions because their feelings shouldn't be hurt.

Do I still need to create a separate bucket for him to take sick time for?

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?
