Welp. Feeling like a failure. Made the jump to consulting and I feel like maybe I’m just not cut out for this line of work. I’m having a hard time breaking into the clique in the project I got staffed on, my new ideas are tossed to the side because “it’s always been done this way”, I’m a consultant but i keep getting stuck with just formatting slides and sheets. My +1’s seem to be the only thing that keep me going. It’s probably just one of those days but I am counting down till roll off.

Please help me. Staffed on a Data Validation project without much support/other team members/any prior experience. Anyone have any good resources you can recommend to learn about data validation? (Books, standards, videos?)

Would you take a 10% pay cut to switch to the industry side ? Why or why not? (Context: WLB will be only be ‘slightly’ better based on my experience with this client team.)

Thoughts on leaving in the middle of a messy client? I just got an offer and they are moving quickly. I have a super messy June 30 deadline that I feel super bad about dropping out of in the middle - but obviously have to do what’s right for me.
