Economically attractive almost always is, but to be honest, it's quite repetitive work, you have to find your own way of appreciating the work so as not to get bored.
A typical day for me begins with preparing all my work, making a list of things to do, and starting work, it is a job that repeats itself a lot, but a strategy that I have is to include changes in my work schedule, that is, if I am working in something to change for two hours of the type of work so as not to isolate myself to a single activity throughout the day, that way I avoid boring routines.
I work in the most basic part of data science, which is the filtering of large volumes of data from various sources, it is an ant job but when you get up to speed it can be a lot of fun, what I do is set daily goals, weekly and monthly, I give myself points that later I can exchange for coffees or elegant lunches, it will sound crazy but it is my way of not going crazy.
Right now I have started with the development of descriptive and prescriptive models, it is something quite difficult but very entertaining, the first thing I do in my working day is taking a 2-hour course to learn to decipher the data I need to develop the models and what I use the rest of the day filtering information, that is, I learn in the morning and then I use what I have learned during the day.
A typical day for me is to start with a large cup of coffee, go to my workstation, and first of all see if any of my projects have changed focus or objective and then start filtering data, I use machine learning in many cases, I'm new to machine learning but it's always great to learn new things.
