Is it possible to find a good exit in a less populated area? I don’t want to be near a big city — I want a house and a big yard. But every single job that would be a good career move is in a big city. Do good jobs in small markets exist? How do you find them? I’ve considered 100% remote roles, but it seems hard to progress in a career if I’m not physically present.

Hi all. Quick question - I had a phone call with a recruiter from EY about a Senior Consultant role in FSO. They mentioned that they'd sent my resume up and that others were very interested in connecting as well. I finished the recorded interview/game assessment yesterday. How long should I expect to be ball of anxiety in the shape of a human? My appreciation in advance!

What is it like working in PE? What type of work do people in this field normally do from week to week? Is the field generally taxing with tons of working hours or does it vary on company, industry specialization, team, etc. Currently a Big 4 management consultant and a head hunter reached out about a PE Equity Operating Associate role in the southeast region.

My in-laws think any woman or black person in a leadership position is there because of diversity and that companies shouldn’t try to put any effort into promoting diversity in their recruitment because it harms minorities as people will always think those minorities are in a position of power only because they were hired because of gender/race quotas. They also think it’s perfectly justified in prioritizing hiring a woman over a man (all else being equal) because of potential for ‘me too’. 😣

Now that the CDC says no masks needed indoors if vaccinated, is anybody concerned what that means for kids under 12? I’m assuming that the honor system isn’t entirely going to work (I.e., some unvaccinated people will go maskless). I don’t want my 5 and 7 year olds around unvaccinated unmasked strangers, but it’s also a bummer to stop taking them places. Not that I was taking them that many places, but the occasional grocery store, shoe store, etc. seems riskier now.

Alright so there’s a thing called reclaim my status. If you had a reason why you lost status in the last year or two like COVID, baby, new job, etc. You need to submit some basic documentation and they give you that status for 3 months with a DRASTICALLY lower threshold to make the status permanent and even higher tiers are much easier to obtain during those 3 months. Google “reclaim my status Delta”

generally speaking, do government agencies actually demand more from you if you’re in a higher vs. a lower salary tier/division e.g., I vs. II, II vs. III, III vs. IV, etc.?
