Looking for Seattle opportunities.. Have almost 3 years of Oracle functional experience.. trying to do something with cloud.. Taking AWS SAA in 2 weeks. Any recommended openings or referrals?
PwC is really looking to hire people into our Advisory practice. If you’re interested and have a solid resume please share! I really enjoy advisory so highly recommend applying. (And our referral bonuses are amazing right now!😜)
Anyone hiring in their HR department ? My girlfriend is trying to pivot from treasury management to HR. Much appreciate any leads 🙏
Which interview level is more critical: 1hr technical screen video chat with the hiring manager (SVP) or final on site interview with a bunch of folks. I’m curious to hear y’all perspectives.
I’ve found myself placed in a strategic leadership position despite not having a strategy background due to consistent layoffs. Any tips on how to grow my strategic chops? Books, newsletters?? Help!
SAP's Energy and Natural Resources group is hiring. So if you're chemicals or oil and gas consultant and located in the US, let me know and I can provide referral.
Got a job offer client side. Would be making 30k+ more BUT it's a long term contract role (no benefits, Paid PTO etc.). I'm not unhappy or happy where I'm at currently. What to do what to do.
Is ZS associates still hiring for core consulting strategy staff out of the undergrad level?
Both roles are within the big 4. Which service line has better exit ops? Consulting or audit?
Would it be better to exit when things are still good? I’m finishing up year 1 at Bain and have generally had a positive experience (great teams, great cases, etc), but I don’t want to stay here forever. I go back and forth on the thought of leaving every day since I also have a young baby. Were it not for her, I would absolutely stay for 2-3 years.
Hey Bain folks - in touch with a recruiter and considering applying to an open role. Anyone open to chat on their experience as an AC/SAC?
a chill job and company which allows remote work at times to which I can exit to? Been in Salesforce functional space for the past 9 years. consulting is grueling
If you were looking to exit Big 4 Consulting, what positions would you be targeting? I have done a little of everything with no specialization (great performance reviews across the board). But now a little unsure of what my skills really are from an employer POV.
I’ve got a technical interview for a Salesforce Admin role at Accenture any tips for prep? Willing to get on a phone call with someone too if possible.
I'm a non tech professional, who is working in a role that is almost of an account manager. I'm inclined towards being a PM. Please could you suggest market required skills and proficiencies
For post-MBA VC associate roles that are for a set period (e.g. 3 years) and are mostly focused sourcing, what are the typical exit opps? From what I understand the VC firm has the option to extend the contract/make partnership a possibility, but from reading online it seems like this highly unlikely.
Warning: inc humble brag Just received an offer for an exit against all the odds from the beginning. During HR screening, recruiter said HM and VP are not interested in hiring a consultant for the role. But they are willing to talk about it because of my experience in the area. (Cont.)
How early is too early to start looking for another job? Would you consider it a red flag for hiring if it’s been <1 year?
With Brexit, what will be the major consulting hubs in Europe in the next couple years? What offices increased hiring significantly in 2019/2020 (before Covid)?
Is there a way on LinkedIn in to search for people who were in a certain role in their previous firms? Trying to understand manager-level exits from Strategy&
Canada PR question - how long do Canadian authorities take to return the passport (to US) with a single visit visa? Mine had reached on Tuesday, but there is no way to track on the IRCC website
13 weeks pregnant. Today I’ve been having a dull ache concentrated on the left side of my lower abdomen. It’s not super painful but it’s noticeable. Kind of like a dull headache but on my abdomen. Not crampy. I’ll call my dr tomorrow but in the meantime, anyone experience anything similar?
I’ve never been unintelligent, but does anyone else feel manipulated to think so by leadership? It almost feels like a sick game how leadership talks down to AEs...
New hire in west coast here, talked to a MD in the office when I was on the bench and he got me staffed on one of his projects, should I email saying thank you for the opportunity or ping him.
Say that you live in country A. You apply to a job in company X in country B (connecting with a director through LinkedIn). 4/5 days after a recruiter talks to you for a position in company X but in country A. You strongly prefer country B over A, so you state clearly to HR that you're willing to be part of the process only if you can also interview in B. You do not bring this up again and are in last round for X in country A. You have not heard back yet from B but prefer it. WWYD?
Banks have been expanding parental leave policies with some offering the same amount of time to both primary and secondary parents. Do you think your company provides sufficient time off? Most importantly, would you be willing to take the full amount of time - without fearing repercussions?
Why does everyone put Tech / FAANG on such a pedestal, claiming it’s better than MBB. Sure, the comp and WLB may be better, but you won’t be doing as meaningful and impactful work e.g. Govt Covid response, Gates foundation projects, industry defining projects in the space of a few months etc
Studying for the AWS SAA. Do I need to the hands on labs in the training (using udemy) or is the exam more theory based?
Does rotating among 3-4 clients for no more than a month each requires LCA? Some in the same city as my home office and some are not.
Need counsel: Left advertising to go client side last year. Working at a huge company isn’t for me long-term but the money is great, I have more balance and actually raised my kids this year. I have the opportunity to be a c-suite leader at a very small agency on the rise. Super confused. Money will be less, long-term opportunity will be more. Also thinking about having another kid soonish.
What was your percentage raise increase from senior to manager? Is it fair to assume at least 10%?
Interviewing with Accenture for Technology Senior Manager position. Can someone please shed some light on the difference between Technology Strategy and Technology Advisory practices? Which one should I push for/ pays better? Thanks
Questions for a newer investor. I don’t come from a finance background but I’ve been educating myself on stocks and just started investing this year! As a 24yr old I’m in if for the long term. I started with an ETF but want to expand. I’d like to hear different opinions if people believe diversifying portfolio with different sectors (like individual tech and healthcare stocks) is important, or better to first buy more shares of one ETF then diversity?
Staff 2 in tax, senior 1 in Oct. Not sure if I want to continue working in tax, are switches into a CBS role common? Potentially interested in a finance or recruiting role. Anyone have a similar exp?
Hottest topic these days is salary. Let’s start a thread with level, firm and base salary. I’ll start. EY, SM, 125 (likely underpaid)
Brought the interns out for drinks on Thursday and dropped $400...getting that signed off as an expense on Monday will be fun 🙈
International Tax SA here. A partner at Deloitte IT group reached out to me on Linkedin for an opening. I replied and he wants to talk on the phone about the opportunity. Does this happen a lot? Don’t think I’ve ever heard a partner recruiting directly on Linkedin. Anyone has any thoughts?

I absolutely hate EY’s Fidelity 401k. Deloitte’s Vanguard answers the phone the moment you call. Meanwhile Fidelity I’ve been on hold for 20min+ and this is every time I call.
What’s the best place to view salary compensation range for manager level roles at Deloitte? Blind, Levels ?
