Hello! Thanks for dropping in! I'm just beginning my MBA journey attending Gies College of Business at University of Illinois. I created this bowl for anyone else going through an MBA program or that have attained their degree. Appropriate topics include program and university questions, thought leadership, networking and job opportunities.

How did you decide which 5 schools to send GMAT scores to? Is there any strategy to it?

I’m a sophomore in Civil Engineering and I have had the impression to get a minor in Computer Science with emphasis in Software Engineering. According to my plan I could do it in 4 years so it wouldn’t extend my graduation.
Is it worth the hustle? Would it make me more valuable to companies having a CS minor with a major in CE? Just trying to get some advice here. Thanks in advance!

I’m a recent graduate of masters and currently have 2 offers in my hand.

1) One with CITI Bank with 100k salary and no sign on bonus and as it is in my home town as I stay with my family needs no relocation bonus required.

2) This is with American Airlines in Dallas Fort Worth which offered 100k + 10k bonus + 18k relocation bonus (required)

The whole point of me switching career to obtain an IT degree is to be able to work remotely. I am currently working on a cybersecurity degree but my school also has a degree for cloud computing with 6 more cloud related certs. Don’t know if I should switch majors. The things that matter the most to me are the ability to work remotely, Pay, stress level , if I need to work on weekends( or wake up early to accommodate clients from another time zone) .

Currently working in a role in which i support a lot of BD on EMEIA level, but would be interested to move to a US role. Saw some people here criticising partnership or alliance strategies in the US quite a bit whereas I have the impression that other regions might not rely on that as much. How many hours a week a typical Senior in Cyber works at Deloitte?

I’ve been offered a new role, it’s in the same building block as my current employer and I would see a 20k pay rise in taking the role. My issue is I have really bad travel anxiety and my current employer is understanding and lets me wfh and if I have to be in but have a panic attack they’re fine and care more for my welfare. Is it worth considering the change in company… the new company is unaware of my anxiety so I’m not sure what their stance will be.
