No I didn’t meant that I was trying to say that I am in contact with professionals and it is just matter of time that someone from recruiting team contact me after receiving my resume. I have to keep forwarding my resume and find an opportunity until then. Also I am on OPT work authorization that makes it much harder to find a job right now.
Why didn’t you go to public accounting straight out of college ?
I am looking somewhere in NY/NJ area but I am open to relocating. I am interested in either Assurance/Tax service line but not limited to it.

Adding on - it may be helpful to ask professors you are close with if they have anyone in their network you can be connected with. Reach out to your own network and see if people you know can connect you with public accountants they know. Ask for informational interviews to learn about their career, grab coffee. Having recruited post-grad myself, I reached out to any recruiters or employees I had networked with while in college. For recruiters, email them to explain your situation and that you gained experience and passed the cpa during that time. Unfortunately, not all will respond, but keep trying - having a connection with someone internally will bump your chances.
