Does anyone have experience with NRI? They're hiring in Singapore, keen to understand fit. Is culture traditional Japanese? Ie hierarchical, staying in office til boss leaves, post work socialising
I’ve been at a startup for a month now. I’m pretty certain my co-manager has been purposely withholding information from me when I ask for clarity on a process or general company information. Other than that, I like my role and company so far. What’s the best way to approach a situation like this? Pretty certain it’s because of insecurity and wanting to look better but I really am not a fan of these antics and it makes me question how long I want to stay here.
I have an incoming interview for a bizops role and they will test sql, what should I prepare? I only know very basic sql and they will have a sql case study. Does anyone have an example or some material that I can study for a few days?

Is this an accurate distinction? High performer: Exceeds expectations for role and level. Operating above level. Mid/average performer: meets expectations. Gets the job done but nothing above and beyond. Low performer: does not meet expectations for role and level.
Can someone help me with a referral at KPMG ? I saw a role that is a perfect match for my experience but don’t know anybody at KPMG.
New SM at a firm and asked to lead a difficult project with abrasive client that 6+ SMs before me have cycled through and all been rolled off. I don’t have much of a choice being new to the firm… or do I? My thought was to sell my own role elsewhere (have lots of relationships) but the freight train has left the station & being on boarded to the challenging environment instead. Tips aside from - just do it & prove them all wrong? Can’t phone it in because I’m new. Any advice is welcomed

In the city this week trying to meet with as many recruiters as possible. I have quite a few meetings lined up, but they’re not currently hiring. Does anyone know of any places looking for a Jr AD?
Which Tech Stack or programming language gets more job opportunities? I see python/Java script rated high but more openings is for Java profile as enterprise uses lot of java. python has its significance only in data science & ML area but not on device side etc. Still C , c++ consider worth studying for JOB opportunities?
I have a standing offer with Accenture (AFS). Due to coronavirus, the recruiter told me they are pausing staffing of external people like myself while they take care of internal people on the bench. My recruiter said he would touch base monthly during covid, but usually I’m the one to reach out to him. We haven’t spoken since mid March, so should I reach out? I totally understand if they’re still in the same position as before and nothing changed since mid March in terms of hiring.
Hey Ladies - my fiancé is trying to move to Boston or New York in the next few months, but his field is pretty niche in finance (long only investing). He works at a mutual fund in Chicago, and has been putting feelers out. We both feel that more postings will open up in January, but if anyone has some insight on recent job openings that might be a good fit, I’d love to know so I can point him that way. A chance to connect him with someone would also be extremely helpful! Long distance is hard.
Can somebody explain the Accenture levels (C1 - C3), and what the salary ranges are for an Experienced Hire please?
Any moms take off a few weeks during first trimester? How did it work? Can you use STD instead of PTO? If yes, does that then reduce the STD you have for mat leave? I live in CA if that makes a difference.
Anyone heard about the eb5 visa category? Looking for options for my younger brother who's not in IT
Why do previous generations feel the need to belittle the hard work of younger people? My parents always insist they used to put in as many hours as I do when they were my age, but I know it’s not true because I was actually old enough to remember it! (They could afford having a kid. I can’t)

I have a manager who doesn’t seem to like me very much. Talks to me in a super condescending tone like I wasn’t an experienced hire & know what I’m doing. He will flat out ignore me even on calls when I say hi or good morning. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s “old school” but once had other team mates in his office (all male) for lunch and didn’t invite me (the only female on this team). I thought I had a super progressive team but every day is telling me that’s not the case.
Hi! I have a few questions on the backdoor Roth in which I’ve done a bit of research online. When it comes tax time, will my 401k vendor (Merrill) give me the correct documents? I’ve just used turbo tax in the past but am worried of any documents I may be missing to adjust any tax. Also- when does the pro-rata rule come into play? I’m just nervous in the entire process as this is my first year doing this. TIA!!
Interviewing as a Finance Manager for a company halfway across the country. Relocation hasn’t been brought up yet. They know I’m out of state. Can I assume relocation will be offered since they didn’t say it wasn’t? Should I ask before going onto the final round of interviews? Company is owned by Fortune 500 company and has over $250 m in revenue. Also what could I expect to be included in the package? I’ll be a individual contributor.
Is there a woman out there who is bothered by someone addressing a group as “”you guys.” Your opinion is the one that matters.
What is the acceptable time frame to follow up with someone who is tardy for a zoom call? What’s the allowed grace period? Five minutes? Ten minutes?
Since partners no longer get subsidized health care coverage from their firms, do any partners purchase health care through the aca marketplace exchange? Even without a premium tax credit from the exchange, it would have to be cheaper than paying full price via the firm’s plan unsubsidized. I heard that some get coverage thru a spouse’s plan, but what if the spouse’s family plan from their employer is really bad? Curious to hear about options out there.
