Looking to leave consulting for strategy roles in industry (non-tech roles). Anyone feeling generous enough to make referrals or share guidance on companies/HR representatives to network with?

I'm graduating from my Master's program in Organizational Change Management this Fall 2021. Most firms only hire people with industry experience (in OCM) but it seems almost impossible to land a good job after gaining a Masters. I've been a recruiter for 4+ years and was wondering if anyone had any advice to find jobs?

Hi Fishbowl Friends! I’m looking in to starting a masters program in 2023. Background on me - I’ve been in HR for a little over 4 years now and earned my SHRM-CP last spring. Looking for more ways to improve.

I have 4.3 YOE currently and I was offered Engr II - Full Stack position in VDSI. But after doing some research it seems Engr II is usually for YOE between 2 and 4. Is this correct? Will there be a problem for me if I take up this position with my YOE?
Since I am a lateral entry, I think promotion to Engr III also would take a lot of time.

At what point does “ego” stop mattering? Over the past 5 years I’ve worked my way to being an Account Manager, but ultimately my career goal is to work for the government. There’s an opportunity to be an admin assistant working for the government, and would be a nice way for me to get in and move up. But the title change from Account Manager to Assistant is a big deterrent. Logically I know that it doesn’t matter, but emotionally it’s hard to feel like I am taking a major career step back?

How do you guys think of multi stage interview process? Personally i feel interviews up to two stages is ok, further than that is a waste of time.
