Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Have an offer from FAANG company with TC around $200k. Non-tech Program Manager Low/Medium COL (Not Cali, NY, SEA). Awaiting offers for the other two for the same type role. What is considered a strong offer in terms of total comp for non-tech Program Management IC5/L5 for Facebook (Meta) , AWS, and Google Low/Medium COL? Would also help if u can provide expected base/bonus/rsu/sign on breakdown Current TC: 190K, 6 YOE, MBA
Yah not happening
I don’t see an exit. Sorry
Drown out the naysayers. I’m in commercial and looking to make a similar switch. So far, I’ve lined up online courses, books and industry contacts. I will eventually work on articulating my value proposition and perhaps even explore apprentice opportunities to round out my experience. Some experience with a bit of luck and the right contacts is all you really need. Good luck!
There are government focused funds. These people don’t know whats up. I’d use your knowledge of gov to get a foot in the door. You work for Deloitte and many have exited. Good luck it’s possible
Yah, I wish I understood how shitty my exit options out of GPS would be when I took the job out of undergrad. Campus recruiting teams definitely do a good job of selling it
Outside of what IBM1 said, probably can’t do a direct move but perhaps you could go work somewhere that gets you financial modeling / transaction / strategy and ops (at a startup for example) experience and leverage that to make the move. I did that although not necessarily looking to move to PE
Answering a diff part of the question- PE and VC are very different in terms of the industry norms and the role you can have. I’d recommend really thinking through what you want to do before you pursue - a lot of folks use the words here loosely as any investing opp but the jobs themselves are really different. Specifically, you’ll want to map your story accordingly.
Second Bain 1 above.
Given how hard a transition it’ll be, you should get really crisp about what you’re looking for—doing that will also help you really target your outreach at the firms that are best aligned with your skill set and desires
Nice try
It’ll be hard but not impossible. You may have to transition slowly. Or pitch applicable and transferable skills such as financial statement analysis, strategy, etc. I got offers from entertainment companies and I’m not even focused on that sector. Just depends how you market yourself
Try InQTel
^appreciate it IBM 1
Dm me for a list
Although i cant give any advice here, shut these haters up and go for it. I am rooting for you OP!
Obsfucate your client to make it sound like commercial eg USPS becomes a global delivery and logistics management client
Just go to get your mba or masters in financial engineering, etc. Still will be tricky, but you can do it.
How about infra focused PE exits if your working on p3 deals and modeling?
