Looking to make a career shift from consulting to SWE. I took a few CS courses back in college a decade ago. Will be applying to OMSCS by end of the year. In the meantime, looking to join a bootcamp to accelerate the process of finding a job in the field. Recos for which bootcamps are considered best? I am in the Bay Area. Is the Berkeley coding bootcamp any good?

Does the debrief happen for a specific interview/candidate or do they do it collectively for all candidates together and come up with a final pick? I’d assume that due to their 5 day promise, they try to get back (with either accept/reject) but all interviews are not lined up at the same time?

I had a technical discussion for HCL on 3rd Oct. It's been more than a week. I still haven't received a status on that interview. I have also received a "Resume shortlisted" mail from their careers app after a week.
Does it mean I'm selected? There's no intimation of the status at all. The HR don't reply on mails/calls.

Hey guys, recent grad with a bs in bio. Trying to break into sales as an SDR/BDR in a large SaaS company (salesforce, aws, zoom etc) but finding it rather hard even after networking. Got one interview, it went well, but only 40% of SDRs are hitting quota. Open to any advice/insight and help.

If I'm already holding an offer and continue interviewing, when the HR asks me about any existing offers - should I mention about the offer or wait till the technical rounds are cleared? What are the pros and cons of being honest here?
I lost an interview as I was honest about an offer in hand. They don't interview people with offers in hand it seems.
Should I just never mention the offer in hand and choose one offer based on my preferences at the end?

I recently accepted a new job offer a few weeks ago and start soon. It's not a well known company. It's a debt collector and is remote. I can work anywhere in the country. I recently got a job offer from JPMorgan as well and it is also remote, but I have to go wherever a hub and can visit family with vacation. Both companies pay almost the same - JPMorgan pays slightly more. I'm torn between the 2. The other company has a better title Senior InfoSec Analyst. JP's is Cyber Engineer. Any advice?

I've been working in IT Infra support for over 15 years and i'm wanting to make the transition to a business analyst type of role but i'm finding it a little difficult. It's either i don't have enough experience in the role or a lot of BA positions are in software development. Does anyone have any advice?

Is there any way to secure a pay raise besides threatening to leave for a better offer? I tried to talk to my manager and he said “maybe at this time next year”, but suddenly after giving my notice the raise became possible now. I just feel bitter and want to leave anyways.
