Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. FDD work is pretty similar across any practice. But A&M has a better culture, significantly higher comp, and you’ll learn a lot more. But they don’t hire a lot of people out of audit, it’s very selective. Worth exploring though.
Thanks for the insights! Got a lot to consider in these next few months!

Big 4 FDD culture is office dependent and can be great. Potential total comp compared to A&M may be lower, but it’s also more fixed in nature and not dependent on utilization metrics and revenue targets. I’m assuming A&M1 came from Big 4 and is able to speak to the differences, but at least in my experience, I’ve appreciated the culture, enjoyed the people I work with, learned a ton, managed work/life integration, and have no plans to leave. I work with multiple seniors who recently joined from Deloitte audit and they’ve had a good experience so far.

Definitely - lots of options! PM if you end up wanting to apply at EY.
If you want to move to FDD at a major city, pm me!

Why don’t you go work at a VC/PE firm?
Appreciate the insights there.
Definitely realized my interests are much more related to valuations of portfolio companies, versus the day to day accounting of fund operations.
Grinded a 70 hour week while sick with COVID and just had an epiphany it was time for change. Just don’t really know what opportunities exist within FDD and the subsequent exit.
