Looking to move out of government work. I’ve worked as a Statistician for Federal Student Aid the past 3 years and have a dual bachelors in management and statistics and masters in business analytics. Im looking to move to a big airline (United Airlines or Delta Air Lines preferably) in a mid to upper level analyst but am struggling to even get interviews, though I often meet all the basic requirements as well as the preferred skill sets. Any advice??

Have you converted your resume from federal style to something appropriate for the private sector?

To the best of my knowledge yes. While I do edit/tailor my resume for each position I apply to, I never changed it to get my current position at FSA. (Complicated story but they came and recruited us so we didn’t go through a formal interview process, but rather submitted our resumes after we had been hired)

What analytics roles are you applying to?

DMd you

How many points? Caribbean Marriott Cat 3 property, 5 nights. They have an issue with the boiler so no hot water and shower stops in between. Ice cold showers for 4 days in a row 🥶. Hotel phones don’t work because network is down and only local channels work on tv. Last night they had a huge leak in the lobby. They kept knocking stuff all night to fix it and then left a large floor fan running. I understand it’s tough reopening so don’t want to push, plus they upgraded our room at check in.

Hi 👋 Any good UX books for senior designer level that helps with strategy, and good frameworks, or anything that will help me with my thought process? I have the basic books like don’t make me think, and 100 things. I’ll be joining a startup soon as chief designer, and will be back to being a full stack designer — I’ve been an IC for the past few years, so I definitely need to improve on strategies and maybe frameworks when it comes to UX. Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! 🙏🏻

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.

So here are my questions.

When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.

Thanks in advance!
