Anyone regret going in house? Being recruited hard by a global company’s in-house lit dept (which are not all that common in general) and I’m so on the fence…. I am one of the few that actually enjoys working at a firm (esp the $$, being transparent) and I’m in a good position to make partner but I don’t want to work as hard as the partners here do for the rest of my life. I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.

I just finished 1st year on the job found out I hate the tax and accounting and enjoy it a lot more when I code in VBA, writing SQL script etc… I enjoy coding and want to get into software dev and escape the busy season hell.
