Heading into busy season like
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Is it a smaller Company you are moving to? Any large organization deals with relocation companies so I would call BS and try to negotiate that in if that were the case. If not, 5k seems reasonable if you don’t have a house full of stuff and multiple cars. Double that if you have to transport vehicles and need a full semi for your goods. I’ve moved a few times...once international and also within the US and having relocation covered is a huge benefit and stress reducer. Good luck
$50k for relo on a Senior?? That seems awfully generous. What firm are you with?
Depends how far and how much stuff you have. I’ve successfully moved for 3k. That was with movers and us driving the truck. East coast> Midwest
How do you like the Midwest? Considering a move myself
10k relo and 15k sign-on bonus is what I negotiated. I owned a house so needed to deal with costs of selling a home (paying mortgage until a buyer comes around, lawn upkeep, etc.) and the other ordinary expenses of moving. Needed all of it to make it work.
I got an internal relocation and total package was roughly $50k
EY, client I moved from helped in leverage for the package. But yea the specialist commented it was generous for my level. Just the movers cost $9k tho
depends on your level, if you're not a manager it's significantly harder but not impossible
