Garland and Loeb is considered one of the best of the best criminal defense firms. The criminal defense section of the Atlanta bar association is pretty active (at least pre-covid) and could be a good way to make connections

Hey guys, did you ever encounter the following problem & know a solution:
Whenever I reference another tab in any given formula in my model, XLS first calculates everything as it should be. However directly afterwards (or sometimes only after saving) the formula vanishes and only the resulting value is left. Hence, all automation etc in the xls does not work.

Any ideas what's happening and how I can solve it without rebuilding the whole model?

I’m a 2015 graduate and while in law school I did a lot of entertainment work. After law school I clerked for a bit before going in-house to do corporate work (2 years) and I’ve been at a firm doing corporate work since 5/2018. I’m updating my resume for an entertainment role. There have been a lot of posts in the law and big law blog about legal recruiter comp. It seems to range a lot (saw second-hand info from $60k to over a million). Also saw someone say the “average” recruiter makes more than a 5th year biglaw associate (which I think would mean $400k+). Can anyone provide ballpark numbers? Considering eventually moving to recruiting, but couldn’t leave to do it for $60k.

I am seven years out of law school having worked exclusively in the public sector. I’m concluding a district court clerkship and about to begin working as an AUSA (criminal). The USAO has a three year commitment. If I choose to leave after that time, what are my job prospects in big law? Relatedly, what sort of work should I focus on at the USAO if I want to ensure that I am marketable to big law? I may get to the Office, love it, and never want to leave. But, I want to keep my options open.

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission?
