Decided not to change my last name to my husband’s after getting married last year. I’ve been practicing law for over a decade, my name is my brand and I’m simply not interested in changing it. My husband is completely supportive of me, but my family is NOT - they continue to misname me over my protest and at my recent bridal shower (was postponed for covid) made me open up in front of everyone a number of personalized gifts etched with the married name I don’t have or want. Will this ever stop?
